This version of the traditional Mexican game ¡Lotería! was made between January to May 2020. I designed this game as a means of exploring, understanding, and educating myself about a culture that I interacted with a lot throughout my childhood, but knew very little about. I initially only wanted to cover the ongoing border crisis, but my research took me deeper and encouraged me to also discuss the commodification of Hispanic/Latinx culture, and the criminalization and dehumanization of Hispanic/Latinx immigrants/born Americans. My goal for this project is to encourage Non-Hispanic/Latinx Americans to appreciate

Hispanic/Latinx culture and be educated allies to Hispanic/Latinx people.
